Through my eyes......
2008.... It has been a fantastic year for the Standringfam. I am loving the fact that most of these evens are BLOGGED right here, on our family blog. What a record..what archive to have in years to come!!! Let us all continue our blogging for this new year 2009!!!
Some of the wonderful events in are family were:
1) January...Our first granddaughter has her first birthday, Hadassah is now one.
2) The arrival of our fourth grandchild; second granddaughter Aunika Judith Ann Waye on Jan 26th. This is our youngest daughter's(Heidi) baby
3) Mother Standring receives a Healing from the Lord and is delivered from the diseased Sarcoidosis the first of March!
4)Isaac and Becky buy a dog, it becomes their new child...his name is Dino.
5)Auntie BeeBee unexpectedly also buys a new dog, he too becomes her child. His name is Logan.
6) The marriage of our middle child Joseph. He and Corinna had a beautiful ceremony in Dunvagan Alberta in June.
7)Auntie Lavina sells her home and moves to Uncle Stans.
8)Hadassah has weened herself from her mommy's nippies, she crosses over from a baby to a toddler!
9) Our oldest son Daniel embarks on an oversea adventure and teaches Science and Math in China. He left in August.
10)Mom goes to Newfoundland in August to visit Aunt DeeDee and DeeDee learns how to become a photographer....she is good at it!
11) Scott-Isaac and Caleb start a new grade in school. Skee in grade four and Caleb in grade two. September.
12) Hadassah's speech picks up in leaps and bounds and she has her first trick or treating Halloween. She is a bunny, a poodle and a care bear. Skee was a dead Ninja, Caleb was Darth Vader. Baby Nonni dressed up as a doggy for her daddy!
13)November has wonderful and exciting news as Isaac our youngest son asks for Becky's hand in marriage and we have a new future daughter in law-to be.
14) December bring a new front tooth to Caleb who has been waiting nearly five years for them!~!
15)Aunika has her first Christmas and is well gifted, she can stand and walks holding on to things.
16)December the 22'd Mother breaks her leg and must cancel her trip Out West!
17)Christmas week the Standring siblings (all except Dan) get together with their significant others and have a Christmas potluck dinner and a gift exchange. Isaac hosted the dinner at his home. Dan's gift is sent overseas! Auntie Lavina bought the dinner drinks for the Family toast! Hip-hip hurray!!
All in all it was a packed full year with lots and lots of events touching our lives. We touching each others lives. Family is such a wonderful thing, connected by a loving bond that says "We All Belong Together".
Dad/Papa and Mother/Nana want each of you to know that you are held in our prayers continuously. We believe that "All things work together for good to them who love God and are the called according to His purpose"
