From Luxor to Hurghada

Though Luxor was a nice place, I couldn't go out on the streets and so was happy to leave. For some reason, people in this area have picked up on the idea that many people around the world romantisize the idea of the hoarse and carriage... Luxor was TEAMING with hoarse drawn carriages. This meant that if I spent more than 5-10min on the streets that I was in absolute misery. Luckily the Hotel complex in which we stayed was quite nice.

As we drove by a truck loaded with sugar cane, our tour guide reached over and pulled off a large stock. We peeled off the tough bamboo like outer shell with our teeth and commenced chewing and sucking on the sweet stock ;)

The view on the road. Most of Egypt's landscape is small mountains of sandstone surrounded by a sea of sand.

I did not take any pictures of the town of Luxor ;(
