I have entered several photos of the Sussex Ballon Festival. I attended it with Auntie Lavina, and we had our selves a great photo shoot. The Baloons were to take off at 5pm....but we all had to wait until the wind died down...somewhere between 7 and 7:30 off they went. The sun was going down real fast, but it made for wonderful highlights. All my photos were taken with my 55-200mm lens...and the close up's of the baskets are taken while the ballon is in the air...except for 1 or 2 on the ground, and you can tell which they are.
After they came back to the feild where they inflated the baloons, kept them teethered and lite them up for a moon glow show. it really was beautiful to see. The night photos were hard to get as sometimes they were lite for less then 10 seconds...and just as the camera would focus the lights would die out.....but it was fun trying.
Our cool glasses were given to us free and we saved them, just incase some of you kiddies would like to have them...Ummm.
It was a sight worth seeing, I was tired to the bone at the end of the day. Lavina and I had not PLAYED together for such a long time that we almost forgot how fun a day like this was.
