Mayan and Cocopa Indians: Alex and Loopie: Our upcoming morning adventure at the hot springs and Alex's home

Tomorrow, Papa and I are heading about one hour south
from the city of San Filipe.
Yesterday we heard out to see the volcanic hot spring
and because it was high tied we were unable to
go in them......soooo, on our way home, Papa took a detour
and we ended up at the home of a native Mexican indian
from the mayan tribe...this man is eighty years old, and lives off the grid
he is not married nor has children...
He speaks in the Mayan language, spanish and english.
Alex worked in Alaska years ago.

He was such a
lovely man, and has invited us back to gather shells, clams when
the tied is way out....We will be up at 6am...there at 7am.  This special
low tied only happen twice this month...today and tomorrow.

Hopefully we will also go to hot springs and enjoy them too.

I am sooooo excited!

We really like this sign post out in the desert...just sharing it!

These rocks will be heated bath tubs tomorrow morning...will let you
all know how that was!

Dad meets Alex, who is 80 years old and lives off the land
He has a friend, whom is his land-lord visiting him.  Her name
is Loopie and she is a Cocopa Indian.

Loopie and I share a banana....she loves bananas

These photos are of Alex's place...He loves collecting bones and seashells and makes thing
with them....his whole landscape reflected his love for the desert and sea!

Alex rent his land from Loopie for $700 a year.  he built his Caseta himself...It had one room
with a small table, small gas hotplate, and a single bed in the corner.
I would have guessed his age at about 60 to 65....He looks amazing for 80

On our way back home we took a few photo of the cactus from the Valley of Giants.
